The company DivX of Jerome Rota has just announced their new technology, the platform DivX Connected. It’s actually a solution of Media Center that displays video (DivX, HD DivX, Xvid and WM9), photos (JPEG and BMP) and music (MP3, WMA) on the LCD or Plasma screen and retrieve contents from a PC using an Ethernet or WiFi connection.

D-Link will be the first company to offer its small Media Center in mid-November, the DSM-330, which will be sold 189 euros.

David Lambert Note: a web browser integrated into the solution would be a plus and would surf the net via the media-center .. It remains to study the functions available with the development kit made available by DivX.

Since I sold my shares on my last UK Company, I am thinking about a new project, a new challenge! I like the myth that some people have succeed in their project, starting it in their “garage”, I would like to start my own garage spirit experience and sharing it with you on my blog!

So, we are the Day “0”, I’ve got PHP / MySQL books, computers, motivation, my “garage”, tons of ideas, I don’t have employee, no funds, no contacts in Internet Industry or media.

I am ready for this new challenge!
