NoLA : 4G Mobile technology at 3,6 Gbps

Researchers Korean ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) have announced to be able to achieve a bandwidth of 3.6 Gbps (approximately 450 MB / s) through a wireless communication technology called “NoLA” . This communication technology can now claim as a basis for the standardization of 4G mobile communications.

DivX Connected available soon !

The company DivX of Jerome Rota has just announced their new technology, the platform DivX Connected. It’s actually a solution of Media Center that displays video (DivX, HD DivX, Xvid and WM9), photos (JPEG and BMP) and music (MP3, WMA) on the LCD or Plasma screen and retrieve contents from a PC using an Ethernet or WiFi connection.

D-Link will be the first company to offer its small Media Center in mid-November, the DSM-330, which will be sold 189 euros.

David Lambert Note: a web browser integrated into the solution would be a plus and would surf the net via the media-center .. It remains to study the functions available with the development kit made available by DivX.
